Stacey Nichols was born in Milton Keynes in 1989 and has always had a love for horses. Whilst taking her GCSE's Stacey had a string of four ponies who she dedicated all of her time to around her school work.
Her hard work paid off in 2003 when at the age of just 14, Stacey won the junior British Novice championship at the British Show Jumping Festival on a pony only aged five. He jumped the sole triple clear of the class to win a first national title for Stacey.

Having won this prestigious junior title, Stacey was awarded a training scholorship, which she took with Di Lampard whom she then went on to train with for a year. In that year Stacey went on to qualify for the Royal International Horse Show, and was placed 5th in the top junior class at the Bue Chip Winter Championships.

Then in 2006 Stacey started training with Philip Spivey. She had a fantastic year with her five year old mare Ninon D'elle. They won endless amounts of classes, finished 8th in the Welsh Masters five year old final ahead of trainer Philip. Then went on to finish 3rd in the senior British Novice final at the British Show Jumping Festival, and to top the year off Stacey and Ninon D'elle won the five year old Grand Prix at the Arena UK Festival.

Since then Stacey has continued to train with Philip, and has recently spent 6months based at his yard in Suffolk. In March 2011 Stacey got to compete at the Vidauban Spring Tour in France, a debut for Stacey. Her partner was Graffiti and they took 8th place in a 1.30m in the CSI1*.

Stacey continues to ride for Philip Spivey and hopes to continue building a strong team of young horses and has huge plans for the future.
